The face of Bad Zurzach has been dominated by the impressive Verena Cathedral for 1,600 years which is known as a pilgrimage site and which contains great artistic treasures. The small town also has a variety of little shops which can be found all clustered together along Main Street. Numerous events and markets enliven the place and with an idyllic location on the Upper Rhine and at the foot of the Black Forest, Bad Zurzach is nestled in a diverse landscape of forests, meadows and vineyards.

Hiking in the Zurzach region

In and around Bad Zurzach there is a huge choice of themed trails, unhurried hiking and walking routes, as wells as Nordic walking and jogging trails.
The tourist information office is right next to the Thermal Spa Resort. There you will get all the information about the best routes and the corresponding maps.

Cycling and E-bikes

In the Zurzach region there are countless signposted biking trails which can all be comfortably started from Bad Zurzach. At the Thermal Spa Resort we will gladly lend you a road or mountain bike. There’s also a workshop available will all the usual tools for small repairs, as well as pumps and a compressor. We also have a garage for the safe storage of your bikes or E-bikes and, for an extra charge, a washing service.

The tourist information office, just 100 metres from the hotel, can also provide route suggestions with GPS downloads, maps and an E-bike rental service. /p>

Excursions and guided tours

Discover Bad Zurzach and the surrounding region: The Verena Cathedral, the salt drilling tower, the Barz watermill and the regional museum, Wislikofen monastery, Leibstadt nuclear power plant, remnants from Roman times, the natural surroundings of the Rhine, numerous churches, museums and parks. Or take a cruise on the Rhine or the Klingnauer reservoir. The Bad Zurzach tourism team, right next to the spa, will be happy to advise you and provide you with comprehensive information and map material.

Golf, disc golf and mini golf

The challenging and varied golf courses at Rickenbach and Obere Alp are around 30-40 minutes away in the Black Forest.
The trend sport of disc golf is from the USA and brings together frisbee and golf and provides fun for the whole family. The corresponding course is located right next to the spa’s park and is available to use free of charge. Frisbees can be loaned out from the tourism office in Bad Zurzach.
The Thermal Spa Resort’s mini golf course consists of 12 adventure holes, 18 classic mini golf holes and a pitpat (table mini golf) course.
